From the letter of Nargiza Abduazimova:
I have given birth to my first and only child at the age of 40. Madina is my happiness, except her and my blind mother I don’t have anyone in this world. My daughter was born with a congenital heart disease, Tetralogy of Fallo. This Latin name means that in the tiny heart of my daughter there are four anomalies!
In Uzbekistan, where we live, operations on children with such diagnosis are only performed when they reach the weight of 15 kg, but even then a percentage of mortality is very big. The only clinic which has agreed to help us, is Children’s City Hospital ¹ 1 in St.-Petersburg. We have managed to collect a sum of money to pay for the part of operation, but yet we are 180 000 roubles short. I cannot save so much money. I beg you to help and rescue my daughter! I very much hope for you kindness!
