From Svetlana`s letter:
My name is Svetlana and I am writing to you from Kedrovy village, Krasnoyarsk krai. I am 34
years old, I am a disabled person of the 1-st group (vertebral column injury, can move only
using a wheelchair). I got into a car accident when I was a child, and there is no hope for
recovery of my health, but I don’t despair and try to live an interesting life. I have rediscovered
myself through sports. I run several social projects in Krasnoyarsk. I get from the village to the
city myself by car.
The difficulty I have is that my wheelchair I purchased 5 years ago is out of order. The social
insurance fund offers such ugly wheelchairs, that one cannot help but cry having a look at them:
they are heavy and bulky. I live with my mum, try to do everything myself without anybody`s
help, but in such a wheelchair, I will become a totally helpless disabled person. I have found
a wheelchair that will be of an irreplaceable help to me, it costs 104,500 rubles. I can save up
such an amount for many years only, depriving myself of everything. I live just for one pension
and pay the loan for my car. I would greatly appreciate if somebody replies to my letter and is
able to help.
