When she was only 1 month old Masha had a blood stroke, and brain edema developed. As a result she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and had to be hospitalized regularly. That must have saved her life. During one of the examinations doctors found a tumor (astrocytoma) in her brain’s cerebellum and also a heart disorder (ventricular septal defect). Diagnosing it early made it possible to remove the tumor completely.
Despite all the diseases Masha is a kind and happy girl, although her development is a little behind. She goes to rehabilitation centers, gets massages and exercise therapy. She is expected to start walking soon. Masha lives with both parents, and she also has an older brother. Her mother is unemployed, and dad’s income is barely enough to pay the main necessities like food, rent and daily rehabilitation activities for Masha. The parents are dreaming about taking their little girl to the International Clinic of Rehabilitation Treatment of professor Kozyavkin, since they know that many children come back from there with very impressive results. One rehabilitation course costs 78,000 rubles (2,500 dollars). The family simply doesn’t have this kind of money, so they are asking for your help.
