Sasha is in the second grade and most of all he likes drawing lessons and break-time at school. He has a lot of friends, a cheerful disposition and a stubborn character. If he has decided to do something, he is sure to do it! Recently Sasha has decided that when he grows up, he will become a doctor and invent medicines against all diseases, yet incurable. He will surely start from cystic fibrosis, the diagnosis which Sasha was diagnosed with at the age of three. Throughout the day, he uses an inhaler and takes several medicines, and though released from physical training sessions, he starts his mornings with therapeutic exercises (kinesitherapy).

Since birth the boy has often had colds, but the doctors related the child`s sickliness with the climate and ecology and advised to give him more vitamins. Once Sasha, who fell ill yet again with bronchitis, was visited by a doctor from the polyclinic, responsible for the other territory and substituting her colleague. Having examined the child, she carefully asked the mother, «Have you had him checked for cystic fibrosis?» Sasha got well, but the words «cystic fibrosis» was constantly on his mother`s mind. She persuaded the doctors to issue a referral for the tests, and the result is already known to you, the diagnosis was confirmed.

Currently Sasha is very much in need of your help. Apart from cystic fibrosis, pseudomonas infection was also discovered, which often affects such patients and is extremely dangerous in with such a diagnosis. The treatment with Tobramycin should be urgently started. This medicine is not included in the preferential lists and treatment standards, which is why the parents must buy it themselves. The family`s total monthly income (salaries and pensions) is 40,000 rubles (approx. 1,322 US dollars), and the course of Tobramycin costs 265,000 rubles. How is it possible to save up such a large amount, assuming that there is no time, as the treatment should be started urgently? We ask for your help to pay for the medicine for Sasha. Help us to save this boy!
