From mother's letter: My five year old son Dima is disabled, he suffers from cerebral palsy. I raise him up alone, our only income is a small subsistence payment from his father and a pension. Dima often has to be treated in clinics and rehabilitation centres. We have done several courses of rehabilitation treatment at health centre «Elita» in Truskavetz, and have received treatment at Professor Skvortzov's clinic. Each summer we go to children's health centre «Hadzhibej» in Odessa. Dima is regularly examined at rehabilitation centre «Rosinka» in Balashikha, «Detstvo» in Domodedovo, he goes to kindergarten and has training in a swimming pool. Thanks to your help Dima now has a special bike which helps him strengthen all his muscles. Together with my son we both fight this terrible condition. He is a kind, smiling, very patient and joyful child. I have heard of positive results of dolphin therapy on patients with cerebral palsy. We would very much like to try it. We can be admitted for a course starting in Sevastopol on March 1st. The course costs 600 USD, which is more than we can afford.
